Abstract

The occurrence of dyslipidemia is a common metabolic complication in patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM). Despite extensive scientific attention directed toward the effects of palm oil and other saturated fat sources on lipid metabolic processes, published findings have yet to establish a clear and unified pattern of evidence. Through a systematic appraisal of published clinical and experimental evidence, this review sought to clarify the relationship between palm oil intake and lipid profile changes in individuals diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM), focusing on the agreement among study outcomes, the strength of the reported effects, and the mechanistic explanations supporting these observations across different research designs. The investigation was designed as a systematic review consistent with PRISMA 2020 recommendations, utilizing only peerreviewed published research as the data source while excluding primary data collection and observational fieldwork. Published literature was identified through a predefined search procedure applied to the Scopus database, beginning with 773 records and narrowed through
